The glory of a guru has been expounded in all the texts of Hinduism, including the Vedas, Puranas, and Ramayan. In all the great religions of the world, service and surrender to a spiritual teacher has been described as the only means to conclude our pursuit of happiness by attaining everlasting infinite happiness. Regardless of the path or discipline followed, an aspirant must take shelter in the teachings and guidance of a genuine saint who is both a theoretical knower of all the scriptures and has realised God.

The diverse literary styles of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj give inquisitive souls the philosophy of bhakti yoga. Although bhakti is the very essence of the Vedas, for the great majority understanding them is impossible. Kripalu Ji Maharaj has expounded their scriptural laws so that we can easily understand the science of spirituality and know how to imbibe its principles in our daily life.

वेद से लेकर रामायण तक सभी ग्रन्थों में गुरु महिमा का विस्तृत विवेचन किया गया है। अन्यान्य धर्म ग्रन्थों में भी गुरु-सेवा, गुरु-शरणागति को ही भगवत्प्राप्ति का एक मात्र उपाय बताया गया है। भगवत्पथ पर चलने के लिए सर्वप्रथम किसी श्रोत्रिय ब्रह्मनिष्ठ महापुरुष का मार्गदर्शन परमावश्यक है। जगद्गुरु श्री कृपालु जी महाराज द्वारा प्रकटित साहित्य नानापुराण वेद सम्मत है। भक्ति सम्बन्धी तत्त्वज्ञान देकर संसारासक्त जीवों को ब्रजरस का अधिकारी बनाकर ब्रजरस में सराबोर करना ही इनके साहित्य एवं प्रवचनों का मुख्य उद्देश्य है, जो सद्गुरु-शरणागति के बिना असम्भव ही है। यद्यपि सभी शास्त्रों वेदों में गुरु गुण गान भरा पड़ा है, किन्तु वह संस्कृत भाषा में होने के कारण जनसाधारण के लिए बोध गम्य नहीं है।
