Jagadguruttam Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj gave many elucidatory discourses using simple language that reveal how to apply the principles of the Gita in our daily life. One such discourse, given by Kripalu Ji Maharaj at the Gita Hall, Mumbai, on 17 September 1980, is the content of this publication.

गीता आज विश्व में सबसे अधिक पॉपुलर धार्मिक ग्रन्थ है। भारत की परमनिधि वेद है। जिसके कारण भारत सदैव विश्व के आध्यात्मिक गुरु के पद पर आसीन रहा है। इन वैदिक सिद्धान्तों, उपनिषदों का सार है गीता।

यह देश, काल, जाति, धर्म की सीमा से परे है और भारत धर्म निरपेक्ष देश है। अतः गीता को राष्ट्रीय ग्रन्थ के रूप में घोषित किया गया है। इसमें वर्णित सिद्धान्तों को दैनिक जीवन में किस प्रकार अपनाया जाय, इसका अत्यधिक विस्तृत निरूपण जगद्गुरूत्तम श्री कृपालु जी महाराज ने अपने प्रवचनों में एवं ग्रन्थों में अत्यधिक सरल भाषा में अनेको बार किया है।

यहाँ उनके द्वारा 17.9.1980 मुम्बई गीता भवन मे दिये गये प्रवचन को यथार्थ रूप में ही प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है।उनके असंख्य प्रवचन हैं जिनमें उन्होंने गीता के सिद्धान्तों का प्रतिपादन किया है।
