The roopdhyan I am going to describe is authenticated by the scriptures. First, I will define the beautiful bluish colour of the body of Shri Krishna. His divine beauty is greater than the combined beauty of countless Kamdevas. His divine, blissful form can primarily be compared to three objects ...

All scriptures declare that the heart of bhakti and the only process of devotion that will culminate in realising God is loving meditation. Throughout the Vedas, Puranas, Gita and Bhagavatam, contemplation, meditation, and remembrance is emphasised. As the supreme exponent of Hinduism, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj advocated exactly this throughout his writings and discourses, emphasising that the most important point in spirituality is that the mind must be involved.

But how are we to do it? Is there a technique we can adopt? And with so much meditation going on in the world, why isn't anyone realising God? For the benefit of all aspiring devotees, Kripaluji redefined the term meditation and called it rupadhyana, the process of conceiving a self-created form of the Lord in the mind and then bringing it to life, with all the appropriate feelings and sentiments, through visual meditation.

In this incredible book, excerpts from several discourses have been compiled that disclose everything one needs to know about how to practice devotion properly, including the science of roopdhyan, the scriptural rules for roopdhyan, the different types of roopdhyan, the practice of roopdhyan and guidelines for its daily practice. The books greatest treasure lies in the chapters where Kripalu Ji describes in breath-taking detail the divine blissful form of Shri Krishna.

Kripalu Ji Maharaj says that while there is no harm in engaging your senses in devotional practice, merely do so at the expense of the mind will render your efforts unless. Roopdhyan is true devotion because the mind is the soul of all spiritual endeavours, and in God's realm, the only work considered noteworthy.
