Shyama Shyam Geet, 2

murkha karma kare svarga hita kaha bama

jnani mukti dhama paye, bhakta hari dhama

The ignorant follow the path of karma to attain the celestial abodes. The jnanis follow the path of jnana to attain liberation while the bhakta follows the path of bhakti to attain the divine abode of God.

veda dharma palana te mile svarga dhama

shyam prema te hi mile goloka bama

By performing rites and rituals one can attain only the celestial abodes and not Goloka, the divine abode of God. Goloka can be attained only through devotion.

nindaniya devi deva bhakti nishkama

vandaniya shyama shyam bhaktihun sakama

Devotion to the celestial gods is always condemned even if it is selfless, whereas devotion to Shyama Shyam is always praiseworthy even if it is done for one's personal pleasure.
