Practice and Self-evaluation
Practice this again and again - once every half an hour think for a second, God is sitting inside me, and then continue your work. Again, after half an hour think, He is sitting inside me. Any transgressions that you were going to commit during that half hour will be stopped due to this feeling that He is sitting inside you. This is one obvious benefit. And over time, with practice, it will become natural that you realise God just as you realise yourself. This will only happen with practice.
[Ask yourself] Do I realise God's presence more than before? Have I become more tolerant? Has my habit of feeling offended by little things reduced? No. That has not happened. Then what have you done? Someone says one sentence and you start feeling miserable from inside. He said this to me . . ! These are mere words; let him say so. You must practice this.
In addition, you must also keep evaluating your progress. How much more tolerant have I become? The more your pride reduces, the more tolerant you will become.
