The Vedas and all other scriptures unanimously declare that the ultimate aim of every living being is the attainment of infinite, everlasting bliss. This infinite and eternal bliss is the Supreme Lord Shri Krishna, as established by scriptural statements such as raso vai sah, "He alone is bliss". And yet that same Shri Krishna, the very abode of infinite bliss, is bound by His own most intimate power, a divine entity known as prema or divine love. Prema Rasa Madira has therefore been written from the perspective of attaining divine love, the supreme goal of every living being.

The extraordinary range of unique divine pastimes that took place during Shri Krishna's last descension 5000 years ago form the basis of these 1008 devotional songs.  The emotive depictions of the sweetness permeating the sacred abode of God, divine love, devotional humility, love in separation, love in union and the child and adolescent pastimes of Shri Radha and Shri Krishna, etc. are in accordance with the narrations of the Vedas, other scriptures and the writings of the Rasika Saints.

Sumptuously presented in English over three volumes, Prema Rasa Madira - The Intoxicating Bliss of Divine Love includes an elaborate appendix section at the back of each volume, intended to assist readers to deepen their understanding of the sentiments expressed.

Rasika Par Excellence!

Prema Rasa Madira is a complete text, capable of taking one from the initial stage of detaching oneself from the world, all the way to the ultimate attainment of serving Shri Radha Krishna in the highest sentiment of sakhi bhava in the kunjas of Vrindavan and witnessing Their confidential nikunja pastimes.

The padas are unique in that they are a crystal-clear window to the devotional sentiments enshrined in a Rasikas loving heart. The display of extraordinary poetic skills is a testament to the unmatched capability of this Rasika. Sung in ragas in a simple manner, they are capable of arousing the appropriate sentiments of humility and love in one's heart.

This Prema Rasa Madira is the greatest act of Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj's grace, because these padas are outpourings of his heart. May the joyful process of rupadhyana make all sadhaka readers' hearts suitable receptacles to receive and eternally relish the wine of devotional sentiments of this Prema Rasa Madira.
