Practice to Remain Alert, 4

When a guest comes over you make an offering to him. Just consider this practice your offering to me. The service that you do with your body, mind and wealth is all for yourselves. The money that you give me will be utilised to build a sadhana hall, a kitchen and dining area for all of you. They will all be for your use and in addition to all of this you will get spiritual benefit in the afterlife too. This practice that I am recommending will be your greatest service, and if you make every effort to progress for your own welfare, then I will have to come here soon.

This is nothing very great that I will be doing on my part; it is the law of the spiritual government. God will say, “Those people have obeyed Your instructions and moved in My direction, so go to them and help them move faster.” This is my duty to Him. Just as a person becomes an agent for a company and tries to sell as much of their goods as possible so as to get more and more commission, like that, the more the hunger for God increases amongst souls, the more God loves us, and those who act as His agents He will love you too; He will have to.

Therefore, practice this without fail starting from today. I will leave here at ten and give you all the benefit of satsang at the ashram too.
