The Special Sweetness of Love in Union
gayo hari, mo pai jadu dara
Shyamasundara has cast a spell on me!
haum jamuna-asanana karana gai, taham raha nandakumara
I had gone to bathe in the Yamuna and He was already there.
piya driga piya-rasa-rupa madhuri, drigana bachaya nihara
Avoiding meeting His direct glance, I secretly drank the sweetness of His divine beauty through my veil.
rasa-lampata driga pata ghumghata-pata, karana chahata janu para
My eyes, thirsty for that divine bliss wanted to tear right through that veil!
jaba ghata bhari chali ghara natavara taba, chata kamkari dai mara
When I filled my pot and started homewards, Natavara Shyamasundara promptly hit my pot with a small stone making a hole in it.
phutyo ghata tutyo ghumghata pata, auchaka driga bhaye chara
Startled, I turned around, the veil shifted from in front of my face and I looked directly into His eyes.
uta 'kripalu' nagari ita gagari, bahata prema-jaladhara
Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, "On the one hand a stream of water was flowing from the pot and on the other a stream of tears of joy flowing from the Sakhis eyes."
