bhakti karo koyi bhi govinda radhe
rupadhyana mana se pratham karva de
No matter what type of devotion you perform, rupadhyana must be first and foremost.
Everything depends on your desire. God has given so much freedom to us. You can create any form of His in your mind according to your choice. You can keep changing that form. God will respond to your meditation. It is essential to meditate on Him.
There is another very important point to remember. You must have divine feelings in your mentally created form. The form I am meditating on is a divine form of God, with unlimited beauty, sweetness, gentleness, glory, splendour and omniscience. I have to do some office work. Come inside the office with me. While at work in your office or anywhere else, continue reminding yourself of His presence after an interval of say fifteen minutes or so. Quietly fix a place in your office and visualise Him to be there. Never feel that you are alone.
Wherever you go, whatever you do and in all circumstances, think again and again that God and Guru are with you at all times. Strengthen your faith through constant reflection. That is all you need to do. Consequently, you will become greater than the richest man, Bill Gates. You will remain intoxicated all the time, realising that the all-witnessing, all-governing, almighty Lord of countless worlds is sitting within your heart. By practicing so, gradually your heart will become purified and your causelessly merciful Guru will then shower his grace to divinize your heart, and to bless you with divine love. As a result, you will be free from all kinds of suffering, such as the three modes of maya, the three types of actions and the five sheaths of maya, and so on. And as the Subalo Upanishad 6.7 says, you will be gratified and blissful forever.
