The second volume of Kripalu Sudha Ras begins with details of the 1st Sadhana Shivir (camp) held at Brahmand Ghat in 1965 on the banks of the Yamuna. While the first volume of the book detailed several instances of close and personal, one-on-one, informal associations of Shri Maharaj Ji with devotees, the second volume begins with Shri Maharaj Ji’s focus on teaching the golden rules for sadhana. Also, the intensity of the divine association in the camp leaves the reader deeply yearning to have been present in those times.
The book provides several instances where Shri Maharaj Ji's positive influence inspired people to grow spiritually and devotionally. He inspired people to put aside their personal comfort and aid in the construction of the first two Sadhana Halls in Mangarh, and Shyama Shyam Dham in Vrindavan. The book also describes how Shri Maharaj ji along with his family would join others in physical labor during construction of those buildings.
The intensity of devotion felt by devotees in these Sadhana Halls can't be described in words. You would have to read it and visualize it to feel that power. Readers are sure to get goosebumps when reading about the celebration of auspicious festivals like Sharad Purnima and Diwali in those halls. He showered grace on everyone without looking at their caste, creed or gender. After reading these chapters a new aspirant of divine love would yearn for that proximity and such association. And those who have lived it will find that reading this book transports them back in time, where they can relive those enthralling moments.
This book describes how Shri Maharaj Ji inspired everyone to put the deepest knowledge of the Vedas into practice. He infused love and dedication in the hearts of ordinary satsangis and manifested that love in the form of these gorgeous, divine temples and sadhana halls.
The book contains several accounts of how Shri Majaraj Ji’s profound influence led dozens of people to dedicate their lives to spread his message of divine love. His influence was so deep-rooted that despite impressive education and the best of worldly comforts, many young men and women decided to forego material pleasures, and embrace the order of sanyas, spreading his message around the world. Shri Maharaj Ji himself traveled to the west and the book documents the memories that were imprinted in the hearts and minds of devotees.
Shri Maharaj Ji’s heart ached for the downtrodden, and he started many outreach programs. Here you can read about the various hospitals and educational institutions he started for the weakest sections of the society. The descriptions of the foundation laying ceremonies and inauguration are divine and engaging.
Heart wrenching accounts of Shri Maharaj Ji’s and Amma Ji’s (his wife) ascension to Golok are also detailed in this volume. Some miraculous incidents surrounding the ascension are also revealed. After his ascension, his daughters are carrying forward the torch of his great mission and many more outreach programs are still underway under his continued, invisible patronage.
Great personalities descend on earth and enact leelas to grace the masses. This book is a treasure trove of those leelas of Shri Maharaj Ji for future generations to learn about and surrender to him, to progress on the spiritual path to attain the ultimate bliss - the bliss of Maharaas.
