Bhog Geet - Chocolate Day

 

अब न और तरसावो रसिया,
आओ आओ भोग लगाओ रसिया।

यद्यपि यह सच है नहिं तुम कहँ,
भूख, प्यास लागति रसिया।

तदपि भाव वश ब्रज छछिया लगि,
चोरी करत फिर्यो रसिया।

भाव हीन दुर्योधन व्यंजन,
नहिं टुक मन भायो रसिया।

भाव भरा केले का छिलका,
विदुरानी घर खायो रसिया।

जो रस शबरी के जूठे मुख,
बेर खाय पायो रसिया।

 जनकपुरी के राज भोग महँ,
सो रस नहिं पायो रसिया!

हौं मानत हौं भावहीन हौं,
पै सुनु खरी खरी रसिया।

कत ‘कृपालु' स्तन पियो पूतनहिं
याते अब आ जावो रसिया॥

O Kishori Ju! I Offer Roses at Your Lotus Feet

 

Today, on Rose Day, I sacrifice all roses at the lotus feet of my beloved, for Her beauty is incomparable. Her lotus feet are extremely soft and delicate that cannot be compared to any worldly object, as these objects themselves derive their qualities from Her.

 

किशोरी तोरे, चरनन की बलि जाऊँ।          

जिन युग-चरण अरुणिमा-उपमा, पचिहारी नहिं पाऊँ।          

जपा गुलाल प्रवाल आदि की, उपमा देत लजाऊँ।          

मृदुता में गुलाब नवनी की, समता लखि न सकाऊँ।          

जिन चरनन को चापत हरि नित, का महिमा मैं गाऊँ।          

यह 'कृपालु' की चाह रैन दिन, चरनन ध्यान लगाऊँ।

O Kishorī Jī! I sacrifice everything on Your lotus feet. I have tried to find something to compare these tender, red feet to, but my efforts have been in vain. I feel ashamed to compare them with the redness of japā (a hibiscus flower), the softness of red gulāla powder, or the new, reddish, tender leaves of a mango tree. In softness the petals of a rose or butter just do not compare to the tenderness of Your feet. How can I begin to describe the glories of these feet which are so gently massaged by the Supreme Lord?

Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “I have just one desire to meditate day and night on Your lotus feet."

The Path to Divine Love

 

चलु प्रेम नगर की गैल रे।

chalu prema nagara ki gaila re

इंद्रिन विषयन हित क्यों भटकत, ज्यों कोल्हू को बैल रे।

indrina vishayana hita kyoṁ bhațakata, jyoṁ kolhū ko baila re

कोटि उपाय करे कोउ तबहूँ , पाव न सिकतहिँ तैल रे।

koți upāya kare kou tabahūm, pāva na sikatahim taila re

युग युग मथै वारि कहँ तबहूँ , पाव न कोउ घृत मैल रे।

yuga yuga mathai vāri kahaṁ tabahūṁ, pāva na kou ghrita maila re

भुक्ति मुक्ति इन दोउन जानिय, अति ही प्रबल चुड़ैल रे।

bhukti mukti ina douna jāniya, ati hī prabala churaila re

अब ‘कृपालु' मन भज उनहिंन कहँ, जो कुब्जा के छैल रे॥

aba ‘kripālu' mana bhaja unahiỉna kahań, jo kubjā ke chhaila re

O mind! Take the path to the city of divine love. Why are you toiling fruitlessly in the effort to acquire sense-objects? Even if you make countless efforts, you will never be able to extract oil from sand, nor will churning water for countless ages give you the slightest trace of even the waste of clarified butter. There are two powerful witches creating obstacles in your path in the form of bhukti, the desires for material pleasures up to Brahmaloka and mukti, the desire for liberation. Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj advises, “Therefore, O mind! Practice unceasing devotion to Shri Krishna, who captured the mind of Kubjā by His fine appearance."
